About The Clapper Technique

There are three different types of clapper; head slate, tail slate, and muted slate.

A muted slate is used to show that the scene about to be filmed is silent.

A head slate is the take, taken at the beginning of a scene.

Whilst the tail slate is the take, taken at the end of the scene.
